Women’s Empowerment remains a top organizational priority, and BPW Bowmanville actively supports this priority through an emerging series of initiatives. BPW Bowmanville is a proud signatory to the WEPs and hosted the first BPW Canada WEPs event when they were first introduced to Canada by UN Women and Global Compact 15 years ago. The WEPs remain a driving force and have sparked meaningful advancements for women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace and community.
Today, the IDEAS4GE initiative, a joint BPW Canada and Canadian Coalition to Empower Women (CCEW) project sponsored by the Feminist Response and Recovery Fund, through WAGE – Women and Gender Equality Canada, strengthens the introductory Women’s Empowerment awareness efforts. We invite business and community leaders to implement the concrete IDEAS4GenderEquality Solutions that build upon and strengthen the WEPs, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the national 50-30 Challenge to elevate their commitment to gender equality in Canada.
